Hello from Carolyn and the team at Puerto Galera. The clear turquiose water and the white sands will be forever in our hearts and minds (and our feet). This is one of God's most beautiful places, where the sand crabs run fast and the mangoes are always ripe and juicy.

Surprisingly, much has happened since our las blog posting, but what is most fresh in my mind is the events of the past two days. Thursday our team joined with the local pastors, brothers and sisters in Christ, Dr. Weng and Dr. Frances in a free medical mission. The new medical mission is located in the Sodom and Gomora city of Sabong. The Lord was truly in that place when we proclaimed His name early in the day in the courtyard of the clinic. The courtyard was set up with 4 stations, the first being Hannah and I assessing the people and asking questions about their condition, frontlining with vitals, eyes and ears. Next we send them to the doctors, paper in hand about our assessment, there the doctors examined them, gave them prescriptions for free medications that we purchased to give them. After seeing the doctors, the people were sent to sit with Steve, Micah, Leah and several local Filipino pastors. There they were asked if they could be prayed for, and their stories were listened to. The people responded so well to the prayer time, and shared their hearts, recieved the healing power of prayer. There were several people that prayed to accept Christ, please pray for their hearts so that God's light will continue to grow in this place of extreme darkness. After prayer, the people passed to Rebekah, where she stood smiling and shining in the corner of the courtyard, handed them medicines with blessing before they left for their homes. The stories of their lives are ones we will carry in our hearts...please pray for these desperate, beautiful people.

Friday was also an exciting day, where the ribbon guarding the entrance of the new clinic and safe house for prostitutues in the red light district was cut, and we prayed for God's blessing. As I watched and sent up prayers to the Lord for the doctors and aids that would be in this place, I could picture every one of our family and friends there with sincere prayers going up and soft tears pouring down.

Salamot (thank you) from the shores of the Philippines for your joining with us on our trip.

(Pics will follow) check back later...so sorry this is delayed, our internet connections are very difficult and our time has been full. Thank you for your prayers!
