Philippines Mercy Mission

Dear Friends,

It is with joy and excitement that we, a six member team of friends, are preparing to embark on a journey of mercy to the Philippines. Please join us as we prepare for this journey by praying for the hearts and lives that God will bring to us while we are there, and for the needs of our team as well. Our team is comprised of Micah Bias, Leah Botteicher, Hannah Botteicher, Rebekah Graham, Steve Hershey, and Carolyn Sabin. We will be going to the area that Leah served in for over a year 2006 as a midwife, (the pictures shown are from her year there). We leave for Manila on October 1, 2008 and are planning on joining efforts with a church in Manila as they feed some of the poorest of the poor in the city. After a few days in Manila, we will be crossing the water to Oriental Mindoro island and joining Dr. Francis Daytec in his work in the health clinics he has established there. Dr. Daytec is also preparing to open a house of refuge in the red light district of Puerto Galera, and we will have the honor of assisting him with this amazing mission to the destitute and broken women.


The last leg of our journey will be traveling with Dr. Daytec up the mountains of northern Luzon into the tribes, and providing medical care, health outreach and the evangelical message of Hope. We will be returning to the states on October 21. The total amount needed for our team financially is approximately $12,000.00 for our airplane tickets, lodging and food in the Philippines, and medical supplies that we plan to purchase there for use in the clinic. We consider you a vital part of our team as you support us in prayer and if you feel led, financially.
